Press Release
Nov. 1, 2009
Internet Celebrities and NFL Super Star Quarterback Band Together
to Help Kids at Christmas
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rick Beneteau of InterNiche.net, jl scott ph.d., founder of the
International Council of Online Professionals (i-Cop.org) and
Anne Marie Baugh of Write-Promotion.org announce The Ninth
Annual Internet Toy Drive in support of the U.S. Marine Toys for
Tots Foundation.
The Internet Toy Drive project, started eight years ago and located at
http://www.internettoydrive.org, was a dream of Beneteau, 55, a business author,
affiliate program owner and recognized Internet marketing expert. Internet
Celebrities such as Yanik Silver, Michel Fortin,
Charlie Page, Frank Garon and Mike
Litman have lined up to support the ITD, which "plugs" directly
into the Toys for Tots secure servers for easy and safe donating
by credit card and online checks.
The Internet Toy Drive is an official corporate sponsor of The
Toys for Tots Program.
NFL Super Bowl Champion quarterback, Drew Bledsoe, now retired, and founder of ParentingWithDignity.com,
immediately jumped on the bandwagon to support the drive by
personally endorsing and sponsoring the drive on the corporate
level".
Major William (Bill) J. Grein, Vice President of Toys for Tots,
is quoted on the ITD website as saying, "I know I speak for
thousands of Marines and millions of our nation's neediest
children when I say thank you to all those who choose to
contribute to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation through the
InternetToyDrive.org."
He added, "Cash contributions help us to purchase gifts that we
need at the times and places that we need them. We expect there
will be a greater need for our services since the economy is not
strong."
Plans to ensure the success of the eighth year fundraising
effort include requesting a pledge of promotional support
from many Internet celebrities, small business and corporate
websites, Internet newsletters, home based e-businesses and
search engines.
Beneteau, in his welcome message on the site says: "The Internet
Toy Drive has been a dream of mine from almost the second I
logged onto the Internet. Having been involved in both local and
national charities for most of my business life, I've witnessed
firsthand the tears of utter joy that followed selfless action on
the part of those who truly cared. And, although there's a part
of me that believes what works of human service we do should
remain a private matter, there's the realist that says when we
can bring much-needed and valuable exposure to a cause we believe
in, we can do much more good than by simply keeping silent."
jl scott, ph.d., who was added as a co-founder in 2002, has
written an article called "What's In It for You?" on the subject
of giving that visitors can read on the site. Also new for this year is the
addition of gifts for donors of $100.00 or more.
jl adds, "the incentives are really starting to work, as donors
receive many popular and beneficial products that were
designed to help build the human spirit".
She continued, "The success of first eight Internet Toy Drives was
proof to me that people can come together on the Internet to help
those less fortunate than themselves. Most of our partners are
sending emails to their lists that could make them money, but
instead are encouraging people to help put a smile on the face of
a needy child this Christmas."
